The Whites will eat the veldkos which the Blacks are eating today is a theatre making development workshop that will take place on 28th February 2026. The workshop is a collaboration between Dr. Nashilongweshipwe Mushaandja, Dr. Dag Henrichsen (Switzerland), Dr. Josue Castro (Brazil/Belgium) and invited Namibia-based artists. This February meeting will be the first of many to follow in 2026. The workshop will be an interdisciplinary experiment working towards the development of a theatre and performance project, a reinterpretation prophetic texts by Ovaherero intellectuals from the 1960s. The workshop will focus on disecting the illusive, trans-temporal and heightened nature of these texts, placing emphasis on their intellectual potential. This project is funded by the Gwaertler Foundation (Switzerland).
